RSNA Insights from the LucidHealth Team

Across LucidHealth, we are united by a simple belief: radiology works best when physicians lead the way. As a national network of physician-driven practices, we’re dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, partnering closely with our health system clients, and advancing innovation that truly serves radiologists.

As the largest radiology conference in the world, the RSNA Annual Meeting is an energizing reminder of the impact physician leadership can have on recruiting, shaping technology, improving workflow, and strengthening the future of our specialty.

LucidHealth physician leaders from Wisconsin, Ohio, Connecticut, Florida, and California, along with clinical recruiting and IT teams, came together in Chicago from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4, 2025, for RSNA 2025 - where this year's theme was Imaging the Individual.

Below are our top 10 insights from this year’s conference:

1. Momentum is Building for Physician Recruiting

With the continued radiologist shortage and increased demand for subspecialized physicians, recruiting efforts at RSNA continue to grow year after year. There is increased interest from residents and fellows seeking stable, physician-led practices that prioritize clinical excellence and work–life balance. Radiologists are also seeking ways to earn additional income through remote work, which is a central theme to many candidate discussions.

2. AI Is Moving from Concept to Clinical Utility

AI no longer feels experimental—vendors showcased tools ready for real-world workflow integration, especially in triage, quality assurance, and structured reporting.

3. Subspecialty Demand Continues to Climb

Neuroradiology, MSK, and breast imaging remain high-demand areas, reinforcing the importance of early, relationship-driven recruitment strategies.

4. Physician Leaders Are Shaping Technology Roadmaps

Across sessions and vendor meetings, it was clear that the most impactful innovations were informed directly by physician feedback—not simply engineering ambition.

5. Workflow Optimization Is the New Battleground

Vendors emphasized efficiency tools—from smart worklists to built-in AI to clinical summarizations to automated report generation—as radiology groups push for better throughput without compromising accuracy.

6. Vendor Partnerships Are Becoming More Collaborative

Our team’s meetings with major RIS/Worklist, PACS, AI, and interoperability vendors such as New Vue, Visage, Quinsite, Interlinx, Royal Healthcare, Deep Health, Fuji and Rad AI highlighted a shift: companies are seeking ongoing co-development with practices, not just one-time product sales.

7. Imaging Volumes Are Expected to Grow Again in 2026

Presentations and discussions with health system leaders confirmed continued volume growth, driven by aging populations and expanded preventive imaging guidelines.

8. Data Security and Compliance Are Front and Center

With AI adoption increasing, our vendor partners showcased enhanced privacy, auditing, and governance frameworks to protect patient data and maintain trust.

9. Radiologists Want Tools That Fit Their Workflow

The strongest physician feedback centered around simplicity—technology must reduce clicks, not add them, and integrate seamlessly into existing reading environments.

10. Our Shared Purpose Fuels Our  Time Together

Between physician candidate meetings, vendor demos, and evening gatherings, our time at RSNA reinforces how strong our team is when clinicians and leaders come together with shared goals.

At LucidHealth, we remain committed to advancing radiology through physician leadership, meaningful partnerships, and innovations that improve both patient care and the daily workflows of our teams. RSNA 2025 reaffirmed that our strength lies in collaboration—across our practices, with our industry partners, and within the radiology community. We’re energized for the year ahead and ready to continue leading the way forward.
